The prevalence of physical and mental health issues among adolescent boys in India has been on the rise, and the need for promoting wellness among teenagers has become increasingly crucial. Socioeconomic disproportionality further exacerbates the challenges faced by adolescent and preadolescent boys in underserved communities, warranting the need for targeted interventions.
Academic stress, lifestyle habits, and hormonal fluctuations are known contributors to poor well-being and physical, emotional and psychological issues. The disproportionate distribution of knowledge and resources further augments such issues in adolescent boys of underserved communities. Additionally, conventional products in the market do not cater to the specific needs of adolescent boys, failing to address the wellness requirements of teenage boys.
Recognizing this gap, Project Yuva was founded to address the socio-economic issue of inadequate wellness support for adolescent boys in Indian society. The project seeks to contribute to the overall health and empowerment of underserved adolescent boys by emphasizing on the importance of holistic wellbeing and providing targeted educational resources and products.
